BANGALORE, MARCH 10. Though only three private unaided dental colleges have opted to fill their management quota seats through the State Common Entrance Test (CET), the CET Cell will prepare a merit list for them. Separate tests for Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates was never on the cell's agenda, according to the officials of the cell. A total of 25,000 non-Karnataka students have submitted demand drafts for CET brochures. Many more are likely to apply for the parallel all-India common entrance test to be conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. The Special Officer of the cell, D.N. Nayak, said there would be no further postponement of dates for the test. The Central Board of Secondary Education had scheduled its entrance test for engineering, pharmacy and architecture courses on May 20 and 21. The Kannada test for horanadu candidates and the aptitude test for architecture candidates would also be held on these days, he added.
