NEW DELHI, MARCH 11. The Bharatiya Janata Party today sought to inherit the former Karnataka Chief Minister, late Ramakrishna Hegde's legacy by inducting his son Bharat Hegde, daughter Samata, and son-in-law Gopal into the party, and claimed they would help improve its prospects in the State. The Hegdes, who joined the party in the presence of its President, M. Venkaiah Naidu, and General Secretary, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, earlier met the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and sought his blessings. Mr. Naidu said: ``They have joined the party inspired by Atalji's leadership and convinced by the good work of the National Democratic Alliance Government. After the entry of Mr. Bangarappa and the Hegdes into the BJP, the political scene in Karnataka will undergo a massive change.'' Mr. Bharat Hegde said he wanted to pursue his late father's ideology under Mr. Vajpayee's leadership. PTI
