Knocked down

KANCHEEPURAM, MARCH 11. Amirthammal (55) of Keezh Ottivakkam near here was fatally knocked down by an autorickshaw while she was walking on the road yesterday.

In another accident, Dharani (25) of Venkatavaram in Kancheepuram taluk who sustained burn injuries when her sari caught fire while cooking in her house yesterday, succumbed to her injuries.

Student missing

Yogesh Raja (17), a student of the Adi Parasakthi Polytechnic, Melmaruvathur, was reported missing since yesterday, according to a complaint lodged by his father at the Melmaruvathur police station.

Meanwhile, a new motorbike of Kumaresan of Thirukkazhukundram parked near a marriage hall was found stolen yesterday.
