LONDON, March 12. The Asian woman student, whose election as president of the prestigious Oxford Union was put in jeopardy amid allegations of electoral malpractice, has been cleared of any wrongdoing-and been confirmed in her post making Ruzwana Bashir (20), the first Asian to head the historic union since Benazir Bhutto more than 25 years ago. A tribunal which looked into the allegations found no basis for them. She said she was thrilled by the verdict which appeared to vindicate her supporters' claim that the allegations were prompted by a `racist' campaign against her.
