Carcass flower blooms

JAKARTA, MARCH 13. A rare flower that smells like rotting flesh and grows nearly 3 metres tall has bloomed in Indonesia, setting a new record for the species' height. Amorphophallus titanium, one of the largest and smelliest in the world, is known locally as ``carcass flower'' for the stench its bulbs emit upon opening. The previous record was 2.74 m.
