Gulbarga
By Our Special Correspondent
GULBARGA, MARCH 13. The Janata Dal (Secular) has refuted the charge of violation of the electoral code of conduct by the former Prime Minister, H.D. Deve Gowda, during his recent visit to Gulbarga district. The President of the district unit of the Janata Dal (S), Basavaraj Tadkal, and the former Minister, Vaijnath Patil, said that there was no truth in the charge of violation of the code of conduct by Mr. Deve Gowda and said that neither Mr. Gowda nor other senior leader of the party had convened a press conference or talked to the presspersons at the Government Guest Houses at Chincholi and Gulbarga. On Friday, the Deputy Commissioner, Anjum Parvez, said that the election authorities were verifying the allegation that Mr. Deve Gowda addressed press conferences at government guesthouses.
