Muslims fear backlash

MADRID, MARCH 13. More than 1,000 Muslims gathered at an ornate mosque on Friday for the funeral of a Moroccan who died in the Madrid terrorist attacks, with many fearing a backlash if the bombings were carried out by the Al-Qaeda.

Dressed in a yellow and brown robe, the imam denounced those who bombed the trains and stations in Madrid on Thursday. ``This is a crime that not even animals would commit,'' Ali El Messery told the gathering.
