Vegetable vendors down shutters

MADURAI, MARCH 13 . Members of the Vegetable and Fruit Retail Sellers' Association in the Central Vegetable Market here downed shutters today, demanding that the unauthorised roadside shops in and around the market be evicted.

The agitators demanded that the roadside retail shops on North Avani Moola Street and Sappani Koil Street be removed, as they were hampering their business.
