PONDICHERRY, MARCH 14. Academics and representatives of different organisations felicitated K. Balasundaram, head of the Department of Historical Studies in the Pondicherry Government-run Kanchi Maamunivar Centre for Post-graduate Studies here on his election as president of the Indian Association for American Studies (IAAS). Among those who spoke included the Dean of School of International Studies and Political Science in the Pondicherry University, N. K. Jha, Principal, Government Tagore Arts College, G. Babu Rao, Radha, president of the Federation of Union Territory Employees and professors and lecturers from local colleges.
