Naidu to join Advani's yatra

By Our Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD, MARCH 14. The Telugu Desam Party president and Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, will participate in the Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani's `Bharat Uday Yatra' at a couple of places in the city when it arrives here on March 16.

Disclosing this at a press conference here on Sunday, the State BJP president, N. Indrasena Reddy, and the vice-president, S.V. Seshagiri Rao, said Mr. Naidu agreed to join the yatra when a delegation of BJP leaders met him today and extended a formal invitation.

Mr. Advani would address meetings at Ameerpet, RTC crossroads, Dilsukhnagar and Puranapul Gandhi Statue in the city and Mr. Naidu might join him in the first two places.

Mr. Naidu had on Saturday indicated that he was not averse to joining the yatra as it was "focussing on development.''

The yatra will enter the State on March 16 at Zaheerabad in Medak district. He would address two public meetings at Patancheru and Kukatpally before reaching the city.
