Isolated rainfall over south T.N.
CHENNAI, MARCH 14. Isolated rainfall occurred over south Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Dry weather prevailed over north Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Aruppukottai and Kochi Airport recorded rainfall of 1 cm each.

On Saturday, the maximum temperature rose at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and at one or two places over Telangana, fell at one or two places over south interior Karnataka and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over Telengana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior and coastal Karnataka, coastal Tamil Nadu above normal at a few places over the rest of Tamil Nadu, south Kerala, the rest of Andhra Pradesh, the rest of north interior Karnataka and were generally normal over the rest of the region. Nizamabad recorded the highest maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius in the region.

The minimum temperature fell appreciably at one or two places over north interior Tamil Nadu, fell at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, the rest of Tamil Nadu, Kerla and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over south interior Karnataka, above normal at one or two places over rest Karnataka, south coastal Tamil Nadu, appreciably below normal at one or two places over north interior Tamil Nadu, below normal at one or two places over north interior Karnataka, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Vellore recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Tuesday morning): Isolated rain or thundershower is likely to occur over south Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and south Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, north Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
