NEW DELHI, MARCH 14. A large number of office-bearers of the Delhi University Teacher's Association were detained by the police on Sunday following a demonstration outside the Food Corporation of India office in protest against the holding of selection committee meeting for the post of principal of the College of Vocational Studies. The FCI Chairman is the chairman of the college governing body. According to a DUTA release, the composition of the selection committee on the basis of so-called notification was not yet approved by the Delhi University Academic Council. An emergency meeting of DUTA has been convened on Monday to discuss the future course of action.
