BANGALORE, MARCH 14. The need for support and involvement of homoeopathic doctors in the Pulse Polio Immunisation programme was highlighted by various individuals at the sensitisation and planning workshop on Polio Eradication organised by the Homoeopathic Medical Association of India in association with the United Nations Children's Fund, the World Health Organisation and the State Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services here on Sunday. M.V. Jyothi Prakash, Project Director, Reproductive and Child Health, said he planned to involve heads of public health and social medicine departments of all homoeopathy colleges in the State for implementation of the national health programme. Representatives of the Homoeopathic Medical Association of India said that it was not true that medical professionals practising homoeopathy did not believe in vaccination. They said that support would be given to educate their patients about the importance of polio immunisation.
