`Code violation' being looked into

HYDERABAD, MARCH 15. The State election authorities have asked the district administration in Kurnool and Adilabad to enquire into complaints of alleged distribution of CMEY bags bearing the Chief Minister's picture on them.

The Chief Electoral Offiecr, M. Narayana Rao, and the additional CEO, Ajay Sawhney, said they would refer the matter to the Election Commission for action after receiving reports from the districts. When contacted about the letters stated to be addressed by the Chief Minister individually to 65 lakh DWCRA functionaries, officials in the Commissionerate of Women Empowerment and Self-Employment denied knowledge of it.

The CEO said the complaint regarding booklet , "100 maasala pragathi" was viewed as a congizable offence and referred to the relevant court today by him.
