By Our Staff Reporter

ONGOLE, MARCH 15. The Lok Satta district president, R. Purushotham, has appealed to the voters to elect persons of high integrity, righteousness, those who were morally upright, obliging and responsive to people in the current elections. Speaking on the occasion of launching of a survey on voter psyche by the Lok Satta here on Monday, he said elections were not meant for political parties nor for contesting candidates, but for people to elect able people for administration. Inaugurating the survey, Telugu cinema writer, M.V.S. Harinatha Rao, said to ascertain the attitude of the voters as to whether they would get lured by money, caste, liquor and other things and vote for persons having criminal history or elect honest persons cutting across the political hues, the Lok Satta had embarked on this mission. He asked the voters to participate in this pre-election survey in large numbers and express their views on the qualities of the contestants. State committee member, Sankar, said the idea behind the conduct of this survey was to bring pressure on the political parties to give ticket to those who had good qualities.
