ANANTAPUR, MARCH 15. Ramamohan Reddy (35), a Congress activist, of Garisenapalli in Bathalapalli mandal, was hacked to death by allegedly his TDP rivals at Bathalapalli on Monday. According to the police, five unidentified youth went to Reddy's house in the afternoon and hacked him to death when he was asleep. Reddy was one of the main accused in the murder of four TDP activists in Garisenapalli last year. The DIG of police of Anantapur Range, Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, visited the spot.
Two die in road accident
Two persons were killed and one was injured when the two-wheeler, which they were riding, was hit by an APSRTC bus coming in the opposite direction, near Ragulapadu village of Vajrakarur mandal in the district, on Monday. According to the police the deceased have been identified as Jamla Naik, and his brother, Sunke Naik. The injured has been identified as Govind Naik. While Jamla and Sunke died on the spot, Govind was rushed to Bangalore with grievous injuries.
