Balakrishna hurt in film shoot

HYDERABAD, MARCH 15. The Movie Artistes' Association (MAA) has expressed relief over the escape of prominent film hero Balakrishna with minor injuries in an accident during a film shoot at Jodhpur in Rajasthan.

The MAA president, Murali Mohan, and the general secretary, Mallikarjuna Rao, in a release said that Mr. Balakrishna had fractured his leg while jumping from an altitude during shooting of the film. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. The scene was to be executed with a dupe but Mr. Balakrishna insisted on doing the climax scene himself. MAA members wished him speedy recovery, the release added.
