dated March 17, 1954: Coorg's future

The Coorg Legislative Assembly in Mercara on March 15 unanimously adopted a resolution urging that Coorg should remain as a separate State, together with an amendment seeking to resolve that all the 24 members of the Assembly should represent in a body to the High-Power Commission the wishes of the people of Coorg to keep the State separate.
