RBI data on ECBs

CHENNAI: With a view to facilitating greater transparency, the Reserve Bank of India is furnishing information relating to external commercial borrowings (ECBs) under automatic and approval routes on a monthly basis. Indian Hotels Company will be raising resources worth $150 million for import of capital goods with a maturity period of five years under the automatic route. Nicholas Piramal, E.I.D. Parry, Rashtriya Chemicals are among others going for ECBs. Further details can be had from the RBI website http://www.rbi.org.in.
