AERB safety award for IRE

MUMBAI, MARCH 16 . The Tarapur Atomic Power Station, Heavy Water plant at Tuticorin and the Indian Rare Earths (IRE) Limited at Chavara in Kerala have been given the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board's (AERB) industrial safety awards.

The awards were presented by the former AERB chairman, S.D. Soman, at a function held at the AERB here today.

The AERB chairman, S.P. Sukhatme, released a compilation titled `Industrial Safety Statistics of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) units for the year 2003', on the occasion. .--PTI
