Letters to the Editor
Sir, Political parties are forming alliances with a common aim to capture power. After the elections a party in one alliance may cross the floor to join the other grouping to be in power. The Election Commission must register pre-poll alliances and a suitably modified anti-defection law must be enforced on parties, not just members of parties. C.V. Sastry, Kakinada, A.P. * * * Sir, A senior leader of the Congress in Kerala has got a Rajya Sabha berth for himself, a ministerial berth for his son and a Lok Sabha ticket for his daughter. Thank god there are only two children. Jiji John Thomas Thiruvalla, Kerala
