Letters to the Editor
Sir, I had a pleasant surprise at the Pension Payment Office at Basheerbagh, Hyderabad, when I went to seek family pension for my mother. Right from my first visit the staff courteously briefed me about the procedure to be followed. When there was a delay of a few days, the staff apologetically explained the reasons. The family pension was sanctioned to my mother at the next date they gave. I hope more Government offices emulate them. T. Chandrasekhar Rao, Hyderabad
