PONDICHERRY, MARCH 17. The Union Territory Assembly, which began its brief session for 2004-2005 today, granted Rs. 430.54 crores to the Government through a vote on account. It also passed the Appropriation (Vote on Account) Bill, 2004 tabled by the Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, who is in-charge of the Finance portfolio. This amount covers allocation of funds for the first four months (April to July) of the new financial year (2004-2005). Earlier, the Chief Minister presented the statement showing the estimate of supplementary expenditure for 2003-2004.
