PONDICHERRY, MARCH 17. Rich tributes were paid to the former Lt. Governor of Pondicherry, K.R. Malkani, in the Assembly today after the Chief Minister, N. Rangasamy, tabled a resolution condoling the death of Malkani, who died on October 27 last year.
All the members stood in silence for a couple of minutes and paid homage to the former Lt. Governors, Malkani and R.N. Haldipur, the former Union Minister, Murasoli Maran, the former Karnataka Chief Minister, Ramakrishna Hegde, and the former Union Minister, S.B. Chavan.
