Four TN players for academy training

CHENNAI, MARCH 17. Four players from Tamil Nadu — Anirudh Srikkanth, Vasudeva Das, R. Naresh, and M.P. Rajesh — are among the 20 players selected to undergo training at the zonal cricket academy here from April 15 to May 24.

This was decided at a South Zone selection committee meeting convened by N. Venkata Rao, Convenor and Chairman ZCA in Hyderabad on Tuesday and attended by D.B. Vengsarkar, Chairman TRDW, BCCI apart from V. Chamundeswarnath (Andhra) Chairman, D. Vasu (Tamil Nadu), Raghuram Bhat (Karnataka), Arshad Ayub (Hyderabad) and B.K. Rabin Menon (Kerala).

Others selected are:

Pawan Gargi, Umesh Karvi, R. Jonathan, Gaurav Dhiman and Rayan Ninan (all Karnataka), P. Gautam Reddy, Mohammed Imran, M.P.Arjun, Alfered Absolom, Pragan P. Ojha, D.Rushi Raj (all Hyderabad), A.G. Pradeep, S.K. Naushad, V. Abraham (all Andhra), T. Prasanth (Kerala) and Rahul Kenny (Goa). Stand byes: S. Anish (Kerala), P. Niranjan (Hyderabad), P.A.V.N. Raju (Andhra) and R. Srinivasan (Tamil Nadu).
