Bookie arrested

MUMBAI, MARCH 17. A businessman has been arrested, while two of his accomplices managed to flee, when police busted an illegal cricket betting racket at Kalbadevi in Central Mumbai, police said today. The accused, along with two accomplices had collected bets for the Indo-Pak cricket match yesterday, they said.

The police have also seized a colour television, two mobile phones, two landline phones and Rs. 5000 in cash. A manhunt has been launched for the absconding accused. -- PTI
