By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI, MARCH 18. The Communist Party of India (Marxist) today welcomed any step taken by the Election Commission to ensure a free and fair poll during the coming Lok Sabha elections and said any decision on deployment of poll personnel from outside the State should be applicable to all States.

Responding to the Chief Election Commissioner, T.S. Krishnamurthy's statement that the Commission would consider bringing polling personnel from outside the State for deployment, it said "such a decision, if taken, should be applicable to all States."
