Petrol seized from dhaba

BIJAPUR, MARCH 20. In a pre-dawn raid on a dhaba at Hitnalli near here, the Bijapur Police seized Rs. 1.05 lakh worth petroleum products, which were allegedly stocked illegally.

Ilias Abdul Siddiqui, a resident of Asar Galli, has been arrested in this connection by the police.

In all, 20 barrels of petrol and a few containers of lubricants have been seized.

It is alleged that Siddiqui used to sell petrol to truckers without licence.

A special team headed by the Sub-Inspector, B.R. Chowkimath, conducted the raid.
