By Our Staff Reporter

WARANGAL, MARCH 20. There was minor tension when flames erupted from a compartment of Dakshin Express late last night near Pendial station here.

According to sources, the flames came up in the compartment next to the engine at around 11.45 p.m. forcing the train to stop. After two hours of delay, the compartment was detached from the train before allowing it to proceed. The damaged compartment was brought to the Kazipet station this morning and bomb disposal squad conducted checkings. There was no loss of property or casualties.

However, officials were silent over the reasons for the fire.
