Hurriyat accepts invitation for talks

SRINAGAR, MARCH 20. The Hurriyat Conference, headed by Moulana Abbass Ansari, today accepted the invitation for the second round of talks with the Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani, on March 27.

The executive committee of the separatist amalgam, at a meeting here, discussed the invitation and decided to send a high-level team to New Delhi for talks, a Hurriyat spokesman told PTI.

The executive, which met under the chairmanship of the Moulana at the residence of the former chairman, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, also accepted the invitation extended to its leaders by the Pakistan High Commission for a function being organised in Delhi to celebrate the `Pakistan Day', the spokesman said.
