By Our Staff Correspondent

BELLARY, MARCH 20. Cash and valuables worth Rs. 13 lakh were looted from the house of a businessman at Hospet early on Saturday.

The Superintendent of Police, Hemant Nimbalkar, told The Hindu that four persons, aged around 30, gained entry into the house of Sunil Morarka in Rajiv Nagar locality by cutting the grills of the windows.

They reportedly tied the hands of Mr. Morarka and three women in the house and threatened to assault them if they did not hand over the cash and valuables.

Mr. Nimbalkar said that two special squads had been constituted to arrest the culprits.

S.P. Tavergi, Additional Superintendent of Police, and other senior police officials visited the house of Mr. Morarka.
