INDORE, MARCH 20. BJP's former thinktank K.N. Govindacharya here today refused to be drawn into a debate on BJP's `feel good' campaign saying an "image campaign war" was going on among the political parties for the Lok Sabha polls and he did not want to be associated with it. Answering queries on the issue at a press conference in Indore Press Club, he said at present in his opinion "hunger and unemployment" were the major problems in the country. Asked about the entry of film stars into politics, he said there was no need to give them undue attention. Mr. Govindacharya said he has not left mainstream party politics because of any complaint but remarked that the power politics "is more important to the political parties these days than the value system". He also criticised the political parties for not opposing the Bill making the provision of open ballot system for electing a member of the Rajya Sabha elections, while the right to franchise should be "secret". Similarly, on the issue of Ajit Jogi and Dileep Singh Judeo, the debate was limited to blaming each other on the issue, while it should be focussed on reducing the money and muscle power in the polls, he said, adding even the issue of unemployment remains undebated. "There is no positive debate on the issues," he remarked. -- PTI
