NOIDA, MARCH 20. In a freak incident, two persons, including an engineer, were killed when a dumper, which was being towed by a crane, fell on a car at Sector-39 in Noida. According to the police, the dumper had apparently developed some technical snag near Amity School in Sector-39 where some construction work was going on. A crane was deployed to tow away the dumper. R.S. Rawat, an engineer with a private real estate company, was sitting in his Maruti car. Around 3-45 p.m., as the crane begun towing the dumper away, the vehicle came off the hook and fell on the car crushing Mr. Rawat on the spot. The driver of the dumper, Chand Khan, who had got down from the vehicle but was standing nearby, also came under the vehicle. A case of causing death due to negligence against the crane operator has been registered at Sector-39 police station and further investigations are on.
