BANGALORE, MARCH 20. Learning can be improved through the hands-on approach. This is the motto of Sri Vani Education Centre, which opened an interactive mathematics laboratory on the premises of its CBSE school on Saturday. The laboratory contains 14 separate activities which are based on mathematics curriculum such as the Konsiberg Bridge principle. Inaugurating the facility, Ashok Ganguli, Chairman, CBSE, said, "I have seen many maths learning centres but this is somewhat unique. New thinking in the educational system along the lines of interactive learning is badly needed in our schools." The education centre, located on Magadi Road, is a resource and learning centre for schoolchildren. The centre has also developed an interactive science park, containing 30 activities including a sundial, centrifugal demonstration, and gravity balls, which is visited by around 100 schoolchildren a day.
