Sir, This refers to the United States' decision to name Pakistan a non-NATO ally. Pakistan is enjoying patronage merely due to its strategic location. The U.S. needs Islamabad to do terror-hunting in Afghanistan. It will be ridiculous on India's part to plead with the U.S. to be treated on an equal footing. We have inherited the virtues of democracy and civilisation, and events of this type cannot endanger our credibility in the region.

Sir, The designation clearly shows what the U.S. is up to. The move does not, in any way, contribute to peace in the sub-continent.
