NEW DELHI, MARCH 21. Peter Leko stopped Alexander Morozevich in 53 moves in their blindfold game in the second round of the Amber blindfold and rapid chess tournament on Sunday. Morozevich, who won the blindfold and rapid matches against Vassily Ivanchuk on Saturday, blundered a knight on the 44th move of Ruy Lopez and resigned soon.
The results: Second round (blindfold): Boris Gelfand lost to Alexie Shirov; Vassily Ivanchuk drew with Vladimir Kramnik; Peter Leko bt Alexander Morozevich. First round (blindfold): Shirov drew with Leko; Morozevich bt Ivanchuk; Kramnik bt Gelfand; (Rapid): Evgeny Bareev bt Francisco Vallejo; Topalov bt Loek van Wely; Peter Svidler drew with Viswanathan Anand; Leko bt Shirov; Ivanchuk lost to Morozevich; Gelfand lost to Kramnik.
