MALAPPURAM, MARCH 21. The KPCC acting president, P.P. Thankachan, has said a KPCC sub-committee will be constituted to inquire into the allegations raised by the KPCC general secretaries, Rajmohan Unnithan and T. Saratchandra Prasad, against the Electricity Minister, K. Muraleedharan, if any substance is found in the explanations to be tendered by them. Talking to presspersons here today, he said Mr. Unnithan and Mr. Prasad had raised allegations against Mr. Muraleedharan not in any party forum, but at press conferences. So there was prima-facie breach of party discipline. That was why show-cause notice was issued to them, he said. He said the explanation had to be submitted by Monday. If any substance was found, the allegations would be inquired, he said. He made it clear that the acting president had full powers of a KPCC president. It was for this reason, that he had issued show-cause notice to the two leaders, he said. He said the Congress candidates list for the Lok Sabha constituencies in the State had not yet been finalised. Mr. Thankachan said that as per the information he had gathered from the Congress high command, the finalised list would be ready within two or three days. The final decision on the candidate had not been taken in any of the seats, including Kozhikode and Mukundapuram, as per information available to him.
