`Gandhian philosophy vibrant'
By Our Staff Reporter
TIRUPATI,
MARCH 21.
The services of Mahatma Gandhi to the cause of global peace were recalled at a seminar on "Gandhi's philosophy in 21st century''. Speaking on the occasion, N.Munichandra, secretary of Gandhi Bhavan Trust, a Tirupati-based forum for Gandhians and freedom fighters, said that despite all odds, Gandhiji strictly followed the three principles he strongly believed in -- truth, peace and non-violence -- which in turn, were instrumental in freeing the country from the British. The Gandhian philosophy was vibrant enough to create followers across the globe, he said, recalling the services of Nelson Mandela and Martin Luther King to their respective countries.
