CHENNAI, MARCH 21. From April, agents of the Standardised Agency System (SAS) and Public Provident Fund will receive their commission across the counter, when they deposit money in the State Bank of India branches or Head Post offices in the State, according to a release issued by the Commissioner of Small Savings. The PPF agency licences that were issued and renewed by the Regional Director will be managed by the State Government from next month, the release says.
