Boy swoons at exam centre, dies

NIZAMABAD, MARCH 22. A 15-year-old boy, who was appearing for his SSC examination at the Zilla Parishad high school at Guthpa in Makloor mandal, about 22 km from here, collapsed and died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Nizamabad town on Monday.

According to reports, the victim, Narender, was writing the English second paper and, at 12.40 p.m, he suddenly fell from the chair. The invigilator rushed to the boy's rescue.

The Makloor Mandal Education officer, Satyanarayana, who had just entered the examination centre for inspection, was informed of the condition of the student. The MEO, with the help of the village sarpanch, Ganga Reddy, and the MPTC member, Rajender Goud, rushed the boy to an RMP in the village, who advised them to shift him to Nizamabad.

The boy was brought to a private nursing home in Nizamabad town where he died. The doctors reportedly told the officials that the boy was suffering from heart problem and was undergoing treatment for the same. He had recently visited Hyderabad for advanced treatment. The body was handed over to family members this evening. District officials also attended the funeral of the boy.
