Cuddapah
CUDDAPAH, MARCH 22. The first Cuddapah district Muslim mahasabha here has resolved to ask the main political parties to field minority candidates from Assembly constituencies where their population was substantial and a decisive force. The mahasabha organised by the United Muslim Forum, also demanded a quota for Muslims in the Women's Reservation Bill, besides reservations in the legislative and local bodies, education sector and employment generation, besides autonomy to the Wakf Board. They sought enhanced outlays for minority welfare and direct lending by the Minorities Finance Corporation.
