Rain likely in South Kerala

CHENNAI, MARCH 22. Dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep. On Sunday, heat wave conditions prevailed over parts of Telangana and interior Tamil Nadu.

The maximum temperature fell at one or two places over Telangana and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

They were markedly to appreciably above normal at many places over Telangana, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, at one or two places over interior Karnataka, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, above normal at a few places over Kerala, at one or two places over rest interior Karnataka, rest Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

The minimum temperature rose at one or two places over Telangana and changed a little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably above normal at one or two places over north interior Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, above normal at a few places over coastal Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh. Telangana, at one or two places over Kerala, rest coastal Karnataka, south interior Karnataka, rest Rayalaseema and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

FORECAST (valid until Wednesday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over south Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, north Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
