MAHARAJGANJ (UTTAR PRADESH), MARCH 22. The Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee today made a humorous reference to the Telgi stamp paper scam, when he spoke about Indo-Pakistan relations. Referring to his Pakistan visit in January, he said he had gone to Lahore and Islamabad and extracted a promise from the Pakistan leadership "on a piece of stamp paper not to aid and abet terrorist activities on our soil." In an oblique reference to the Telgi scam, he said: "These days one cannot even trust a stamp paper."
