Krishna undecided on second phase of yatra

BANGALORE,
MARCH 22.
The Chief Minister, S.M. Krishna, is yet to decide on the date for the second phase of his `Vijaya Dhundubi Yatra.' Speaking to presspersons here today, Mr. Krishna said the dates had not been finalised. (The first phase of the yatra was on March 18 and 19.)
A large number of former JD(S) members from Sirsi in Uttara Kannada District led by the former Minister of State for Excise, Premananda Jaiwant, joined the Congress today in the presence of the Chief Minister.
The KPCC President, B. Janardhana Poojary, said their entry into the Congress would boost the prospects of the Congress candidate from the Kanara Lok Sabha constituency, Margaret Alva.
