13 escape from jail

JAIPUR, MARCH 22. Thirteen inmates of a prison in Deeg in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan escaped tonight after beating up guards, official sources said here.

The prisoners roughed up the jail guards, snatched keys of the barracks and fled by scaling the outer wall of the prison complex around 6.30 p.m., sources said.

They also took away a rifle from a guard.
