Clear sky forecast

A mainly clear sky, with maximum and minimum temperatures hovering at 39 and 22 degree Celsius respectively, has been forecast for Tuesday. The city recorded a maximum temperature of 39.9 degree Celsius and a minimum of 23.9 degree Celsius on Monday. The relative humidity stood at 22 per cent.

Refresher course

The Andhra Mahila Sabha School of Informatics, Osmania University road, is conducting a refresher course for faculty of Information Technology in `Design and Analysis of Algorithms and VC++' from Tuesday.

Book house's appeal

Visalandhra Publication House has appealed to book lovers with private collections, Government and private libraries to send them photographs of popular Bengali writer, Sarat Chandra, for use in the cover page of the 10-part compilation of his works being brought out in Telugu. The first book in the series, `Devadasu', was released recently.

The photos should reach the Manager, Visalandhra Publication House, 4-1-435, Vignan Bhavan, Bank Street, Hyderabad - 500001.

Kalam's pat

The President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, has, in a letter, congratulated a city-based cardiologist, Ch. Umesh Chandra, for conducting over 50 free cardiology camps during the last four years. The Governor, S.S. Barnala, had witnessed the 50th camp organised recently.

French classes

Alliance Francaise is conducting special summer classes for children in French from April 12 to 30 on its premises in West Marredpally. CELT course

The Centre for English Language Training (CELT), Department of English, Osmania University College of Engineering, has decided to continue the course in communication skills for professionals through yoga and meditation, a press release said here on Monday.

Free eye camp
