THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, MARCH 22. Three persons, including two policemen, were injured when an armed gang attacked a hotel at Sreekariyam Junction on Monday night. According to the police, the gang attacked the hotel owned by one Junus, at around 9-30 p.m. The gang reached the hotel and allegedly went on the rampage. A mobile patrol party, which reached the spot, intervened and tried to chase away the miscreants. The gang then attacked Junus and two policemen, Sreelal (30), and Abraham (35). According to the police, Junus and Sreelal were seriously injured. All the three have been admitted to the Medical College Hospital. Later, Sreelal was moved to a private hospital. The attack is said to be the sequel of another attack on the same hotel about three days back. The police said that the gang had turned violent and attacked the hotel when the staff refused to serve them after the hotel had closed for the day. The police had registered a case in this regard. Today, they attacked the hotel again. A case has been registered.
