Antony asks Jacob to be firm

NEDUMKANTAM (IDUKKI DISTRICT), MARCH 23. The Chief Minister, A.K. Antony, has said that the Water Resources Minister, T.M. Jacob, had told him that the media had misquoted him on his reported statement regarding the inter-State water-sharing agreement.

Mr. Jacob has been asked to take a firm stand against the proposed Vypar link project during his ensuing talks with the Central Government on the issue, the Chief Minister has said.

He was speaking to the media here today after visiting the plantation area of Peerumedu and other places in the district to review the drought situation.
