Mudalagiriyappa gets BJP ticket

BANGALORE, MARCH 23. The BJP has named the new entrant from the Congress, C.P. Mudalagiriyappa, as its candidate for the Chitradurga Lok Sabha Constituency. It has announced a further list of four Assembly candidates. The candidates are Nirmal Kumar Surana (Bharatinagar in Bangalore), T. Gopal (T. Narasipura), Vrishabendrappa (Gundlupet), and K. Shivalingappa (Ranebennur).

Mr. Mudalagiriyappa , a former Congress MP from Chtiradurga, joined the BJP recently. With this, the BJP has so far named candidates for 21 Lok Sabha and 129 Assembly seats. It has to name candidates for three Lok Sabha and 70 Assembly seats.
