Advani not going to Lahore
By Anita Joshua
ALIGARH,
MARCH 23.
The Deputy Prime Minister, L.K. Advani, today denied reports that he would be travelling to Lahore on Wednesday to watch the fifth India-Pakistan One-Day International cricket match.
In a fleeting interaction with the media here, during his `Bharat Uday Yatra', he said there was no question of him cutting short his nationwide election campaign to go to Lahore. A section of the press in Pakistan had reported that Mr. Advani would be travelling to Lahore on Wednesday. "Had I wanted to watch a match in Pakistan, I would have gone for the first fixture in Karachi as I have a sentimental attachment to that city," he said.
